World Vision is a proud recipient of Citi Foundation’s inaugural Global Innovation Challenge on Food Security

World Vision Philippines joins 49 other organizations around the world that have been chosen for this grant, which is aimed at supporting projects and solutions that will address food security and strengthen the physical and financial health of low-income families and communities.

Through this grant, World Vision will implement Project AID (Agricultural Innovation Development), which will provide opportunities to 5,000 individuals belonging to vulnerable farming households in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental to build their knowledge and skills in agriculture and develop specialization in technological farming innovations.

Aside from improving the food security and nutrition of the families, the project will also provide economic and entrepreneurial opportunities through the scaling up of income-generating farming activities, allowing them to contribute to their communities and experience fullness of life.
