World Vision recognizes private companies for supporting children in need

PASIG CITY — World Vision recently acknowledged the support of several of its corporate partners, businesses, foundations, and institutions in the recent Limitless 2023: Corporate Partners Appreciation Event held recently.

Over the past year, the partnerships have reached and supported 3.2 million children in the Philippines through various programs and projects involving sponsorship, education, health and nutrition, spiritual nurture, disaster preparedness and emergency response, climate change adaptation, local advocacy initiatives, child protection and participation, and savings and livelihood.

“These various engagements and partnerships remind us that by ourselves, we are limited. But by the grace that comes from the Lord, we can excel in kindness, and our impact will be limitless,” World Vision National Director Rommel V. Fuerte said during the event.

Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Reynato Puno, who also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of World Vision Philippines, heralded the partners for being with World Vision in every step of the way — from its successes and even its shortfalls, and even during at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“All of you were unwavering in your belief, steadfast in your commitment and consistent in your actions to prioritize the needs and necessities of our children nonetheless of the vicissitudes brought by the pandemic to your personal comforts,” he said.

“Thank you for giving to our children. Thank you for giving your help today. Thank you for not postponing tomorrow. Thank you for helping to stead to the future with less fear about each uncertainty,” Puno added.
