Kapuso Teen Star Bianca Umali, named World Vision Youth Ambassador for Education
International child-focused organization World Vision proudly announces actress Bianca Umali as its newest youth ambassador for education.
During a contract signing ceremony last February, Bianca shared how grateful she was to be part of the World Vision family, and in her own way be able to share her blessings to the Children, especially the most vulnerable.
A bookworm herself, Bianca was extremely happy that she is the newest Education Ambassador for the organization. The Kapuso actress and Mulawin Versus Ravena star said, “Education is where everything starts. I want to encourage the children to read, na manumbalik sa pagbabasa. Gusto ko maranasan nila ‘yong childhood na creative through reading.”
“We’re really amazed with the values that Bianca represents. It’s something na kailangan ng kabataang Pinoy ngayon. If people would know what kind of childhood she had and the discipline she has in life, it’s something that we would want to inculcate to the children’s lives,” shared World Vision Resource Development Director, Jun Godornes.
World Vision celebrates 60 years of caring for children in the Philippines this 2017. The organization will hold a year-long celebration through various events like the 60th Anniversary Press Launch on March 23 and World Vision Run in July 2017.
Bianca, who will play Lawiswis in the Mulawin remake, will be in Cebu on March 7, to celebrate her birthday with children in one of World Vision’s area programs.World Vision/March 17, 2017
