KKDwight Fam fundraise – the low-key KKD way

What’s to love about sports couple Kianna Dy and Dwight Ramos? A lot.

“They always inspire their fans to work hard for their dreams,” shares a fan. “Kianna and Dwight didn’t have it easy. Each had their own battles to get to where they are today. It’s something they constantly remind their followers. Things may seem great for them now, but they’ve had their fair share of struggles.”

Another thing that stands out about the celebrity couple is their love for family. Kianna and Dwight fans notice how Kianna and Dwight bond and spend time with each other’s families. The two would often mention the lessons they learned from their parents – honoring the folks that raised them and helped them become who they are now. That’s why a group of fans called themselves the KKDWIGHT FAM, and these people have banded together and formed meaningful bonds.

“We’re not just here to support Kianna and Dwight as fans, but we’re also here for each other,” shares Michelle of the KKDWIGHT FAM fandom.  “We may not have met everyone personally yet, but we try to develop personal relationships with each other. When someone is going through tough times, we listen and try to be there for each other.”

The fandom decided to raise funds for World Vision in the Philippines in honor of Kianna and Dwight’s birthday last July and September. The group loved that they could do something for their idols and go about it in a simple, low-key way – just how KKDWIGHT would. “Kianna and Dwight don’t usually go public when they donate or share things for a cause,” the fandom shares. The group notices how Kianna would always donate personal things like her jerseys or even shoes whenever there’s a need to raise funds for something or someone important. Dwight is the same but does it differently. He, his brother, and their family would donate to his Dad’s hometown in Ilocos from time to time, even before joining the B. League. “People don’t normally know that Dwight and his family do this regularly,” they add

The group’s philanthropy efforts didn’t just start with this World Vision fundraiser. The KKDWIGHT FAM previously joined a fundraiser by Kianna and Dwight, where the couple auctioned Kianna’s jersey and a pair of Dwight’s shoes. “We happily bid for and won both items. It’s a big purchase, but everything was worth spending our hard-earned money for because we know the money goes to a good cause” shares a fan happily.

One of the first things the group did together was to surprise their idols with a gift for Christmas. They wanted to celebrate Kianna’s milestone of reaching 300K subscribers on YouTube back in 2021. “There were only a few of us back then and we were amazed to have it pulled off – of course, with the help of Kianna’s family.” The group gave the couple a KKDwight painting, which the couple displayed in their homes. “It shows they appreciate what we do, and made us feel like we’re part of their family.”

Being family really is a big thing for KKDwight Fam. The group practices inclusivity, and simply encourages members to give as they are able when they organize fundraisers. “We don’t want to discriminate against someone who isn’t able to help out financially,” they explained. “We’re not a big group. Most of our members are still in school, though some are working. That’s why raising funds takes more than just donations. Everyone comes together not only by donating money, but also by donating personal things and sharing our posts on social media. That’s how we’re able to achieve what we have.”

“When we get to work together and everyone jumps in to extend help for something as important as this, it makes our hearts melt. It makes our hearts full.” This last statement captures the true spirit of KKDWIGHT giving. Kianna and Dwight would be proud.
