About Us
Who We Are
World Vision is a global Christian humanitarian organization devoted to improving the lives of children, their families, and their communities.
Our focus is on helping the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience fullness of life. We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith. As the largest non-profit organization in the Philippines with over 65 years of experience, World Vision helps over 1.5 million children every year, with the support of thousands of Filipino sponsors and donors.
Our Vision:
Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness; Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so.
Our Mission:
We are an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.
Core Values
We are Christian
We are committed to the poor
We value people

World Vision celebrates 65 years of Caring for Children
World Vision has been committed to protecting and caring for those in need, particularly children. It all started when our founder Bob Pierce gave the last $5 in his pocket to help care for an abandoned Chinese girl in 1947. Through the years, World Vision has gone to where others would not. We’ve even reached the point of purchasing a large ship to rescue Vietnamese refugees in 1979. We believe that God is in the places where it is hardest to be a child—and we should be there too. So our mission continues to this day.
Board of Trustees
World Vision Philippines is governed by its Board of Trustees. These individuals seek to ensure the best interest of our stakeholders. They are also responsible for the implementation of strategic decisions aligned with World Vision’s global and regional governance. As charity trustees, they are volunteers who receive no remuneration for their service.
