World Vision promotes joy of giving and togetherness through its Christmas campaign

This Christmas season, World Vision launched its Noche Buena Gift campaign with the theme “One Joy for Children” which hopes to give an opportunity for the underprivileged children and families to experience the joy of being together this Christmas.

“As we continue with our yearly Christmas tradition here at World Vision, we aim to highlight family togetherness through the sharing of a Noche Buena meal. And this is what makes this year different from the past campaigns”, explained Precious Basco, World Vision’s Donor Care Manager.

In Malabon, the first wave of Noche Buena distributions brought cheers and smiles to children. “Nakita ko ‘yung ngiti sa mga bata (nung tinatanggap nila ‘yung mga Noche Buena packs). I think ito ‘yung perfect time para magtanim sa isip ng mga bata na ano ba ang totoong essence ng Pasko, ano ba ang talagang purpose nito,” shared Jonathan Ramirez, one of World Vision’s former staff who volunteered during the activity.

Through generous givers, the Noche Buena Gift campaign hopes to reach 33,000 children and families nationwide. For only 1000 pesos donated to World Vision, two children and their families will have Noche Buena on their table this Christmas eve.

What a better time to teach about the value of coming together as one family than now, as we celebrate the season of joyful giving.
