World Vision Philippines and The Belamy House Strengthen School Hygiene in Rosario, Batangas
ROSARIO, BATANGAS — On 25 June 2026, World Vision Philippines, through the generous support of Mr. Anthony Chua of The Belamy House and a valued member of the World Vision Circle of Friends, formally turned over four handwashing facilities and hygiene and sanitation supplies to Rosario East Central School, Baybayin Integrated National High School, Saint Isidore National High School, and Nasi Elementary School in Rosario, Batangas under the Bawat Batang Pinoy Malusog program.
The turnover, marked by one main ceremonial program and four ribbon-cutting activities, directly benefited 4,302 students, teachers, and school personnel across the four schools. In addition to the newly installed handwashing facilities, the schools also received foggers, soap, hygiene kits, trash bins, and cleaning materials to help improve sanitation practices and promote healthier learning environments.
The initiative aims to create safer, healthier, and more child-friendly schools by improving access to proper handwashing facilities and essential hygiene supplies. Beyond providing physical infrastructure and resources, the project supports children’s overall health and well-being by helping prevent the spread of illness, encouraging lifelong healthy habits, and enabling students to attend school regularly and learn in clean, safe, and supportive environments.
During the turnover ceremony, Mr. Anthony Chua emphasized that quality education extends beyond the classroom and includes creating spaces where children can grow in safety and good health.
“Education is not only about learning lessons in the classroom. It is also about creating a safe and healthy environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive,” he shared. He further highlighted that proper handwashing remains one of the simplest yet most effective ways to prevent illness, protect children’s well-being, and keep them engaged in learning.
The activity reflects the shared commitment of World Vision Philippines and The Belamy House to advancing children’s health, dignity, and opportunity through practical, community-based support. By investing in improved school hygiene facilities and sanitation resources, the partnership helps strengthen school environments where children can develop healthy habits, reduce their risk of preventable illnesses, and pursue their education with greater confidence.
