World Vision Launches its Limited-Edition #GirlsCan Friendship Bracelet Kit
When they’re fully supported, little girls thrive and bloom, beaming with joy and confidence. They engage with friends, are active at school and at home, and grow into motivated individuals who care for their communities.
World Vision sees the immense potential of each girl and, through its Child Sponsorship Program, takes great care in protecting young girls, educating them, and creating a safe and secure environment where they feel fully supported.
In the Philippines, sadly, hundreds of girls are robbed of a better life and a bright future, as they often face the harshest effects of poverty, crisis, abuse, and other difficult circumstances.
This year, in line with the International Day of the Girl on October 11, World Vision again urges the public to come together and protect girls in impactful and meaningful ways. “By October 11, the International Day of the Girl, we aim to empower 1,000 girls and find generous donors to help them achieve their dreams. It is through education that we can break the cycle of poverty, give them hope, and create greater opportunities for them to succeed,” says Dr. Herbert Q. Carpio, National Director of World Vision in the Philippines.

As a show of support for the cause, World Vision introduces its limited-edition #GirlsCan Friendship Bracelet Kit. Given to loyal partners, the exclusive kit allows sponsors to create custom bracelets for themselves and their sponsored child. Along with the bracelets, sponsors are encouraged to send a personal letter of encouragement, offering girls the lasting assurance that someone is rooting for them.
“We launched this initiative to give hope and show our girls that there is a wide community that cares. This kit encapsulates our genuine belief that even in small ways, we can make an impact—whether that’s through the P900 monthly donation to the Child Sponsorship Program or through thoughtful gestures of support. It can be empowering; it can be life-changing,” says Dr. Carpio. “#GirlsCan change the world, so let us stand behind them.”
Join the mission and support the cause. For only P900 a month, sponsors can provide girls with access to education, food, livelihood training, and other essentials—setting them up for success. If you are moved to help, visit www.worldvision.com.ph to sign up.
