Thank you for your support

Christmas Eve is just around the corner. Now that the decors have been put up, the gifts have been wrapped, and the Noche Buena menu has been set, it’s only a matter of time before families and friends come together to share joy and love, and give thanks for the blessings that we received this year.

At World Vision, we recognize that the work we do for children will not come to fruition without the help of kind-hearted givers, who continuously show their support not only during the Christmas season but also throughout the whole year.

Thank you for making the whole of 2017 feel like Christmas!

Thank you for being an inspiration to children

Whether you have been a child sponsor for years or have only begun just recently, thank you for allotting a small portion of your time and finances to provide the basic needs of your sponsored child. Thank you for inspiring them with the letters you write and the words of encouragement you impart. Thank you for keeping track of their progress in school, just like how you do with children in your own family.

Thank you for standing with the people of Marawi

Bayanihan has never been more apparent when Filipinos from all walks of life, ages, and faith came together to rally behind their brothers and sisters who were forced out from Marawi. Because of your donations, we were able to distribute thousands of learning kits, breastfeeding kits and other essential non-food items to help the displaced families address their most immediate needs. Thank you.

Thank you for fundraising for children

Supporting a cause is an amazing act on its own, but we are always astounded when individuals initiate activities to fundraise for the causes they support. We are grateful to runner Norman Garcia for all the kilometers he ran barefoot to raise funds for a learning center in Antique, to artist Addie Cukingnan for mounting an exhibit and donating the proceeds of her paintings for children, to the students of Immaculate Concepcion Academy for creating a fundraising event to help families from Marawi.

Thank you to the givers who created Simply Giving pages to invite their friends to donate to a cause and to everyone who supported our fundraising events like World Vision Run 2017 in Cebu and World Vision Ambassador Ogie Alcasid’s birthday and fundraising concert NakakaLOKAL. Simple acts of kindness may yield small results but when put together, it can create large impacts.

Thank you for giving Noche Buena gifts

Since 2005, it has been our annual Christmas tradition to distribute Noche Buena gifts to thousands of World Vision-supported children across the Philippines. This feat would not be possible without your support. Thank you for trusting us and for helping us bring joy to the Noche Buena tables of underprivileged Filipino homes!World Vision/December 24, 2017
