Frequently Asked Questions

May I send a birthday gift for my sponsored child?
Yes you may send a gift in kind or minimum of P1,000 cash.  For gifts in kind, you may drop it off our Quezon City Office.  We will ask for a P75 per kilo LBC fee.  For cash gifts, you may send through credit card or World Vision bank accounts and we will issue you an official receipt.  Just contact us for details.

Do you also accept used clothes as gift or donations?
We are sorry that we don’t accept used clothes.  We want our sponsored children to feel special and cared for.  As a general guideline, our rule is that gifts should not demean or disrespect children.  It should encourage/ contribute to child’s total development (physical, mental/intellectual, spiritual, and social).

When will my sponsorship end?
Our sponsorship is only until high school.  If you are interested to support your sponsored child through college, there will be an additional college fund needed on top of your monthly pledge.  Just contact your Donor Care Team for details.

Do I need to fax my deposit slip all the time?
Yes so we could allocate the donations coming in.  If you have no fax machine, you may call 372-7777, email or text 0917 866 4824 to give your deposit details (bank, branch, date and amount).

Is it possible for you to trace my deposit details if I don’t contact you?
We will not be able to know the depositor’s name since it does not reflect on our bank statement.  However, you may write your name or partner ID beside World Vision’s account name on the deposit slip and request the teller to include it during your transaction.  If this is successful, there’s no need to send your deposit details.

Is it possible to meet my sponsored child?
Yes you may call us at 372-7777 one month before your proposed schedule so we could check the child’s availability and arrange the visit.  The meeting place will be a neutral location such as World Vision Office and the requesting party will shoulder the visit cost.  Here is the form that you may fill out.
