World Vision intensifies community awareness on COVID-19 vaccination

Amid the continuing surge of Covid-19 cases, World Vision aligns with the Department of Health (DOH) by disseminating information to help communities gain better understanding and make informed decision about COVID-19 vaccines.

In the province of Aklan, World Vision in coordination with the local government and health units shared information, education, and communication (IEC) materials to help protect people with the right knowledge and prevent further viral transmission in four municipalities.

“This activity helps the families for them to be well-informed about the COVID-19 vaccination. The information will also clear any misconception and doubt they have,” shares April Dologmanding, World Vision program officer based in the province.

Through printed IEC materials such as tarps and brochures, families residing in far-flung areas can have access to correct information based on DOH’s guidelines on vaccinations.

World Vision also disseminated the same IEC materials in various covered areas in Visayas and across the country.

Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine, the second most tight community quarantine measure, is being implemented again in many regions including in NCR and Central Visayas because of a spike of COVID-19 cases in the past couple of months due to the arrival of the Delta Variant.
