Typhoon Ompong: The Aftermath

Typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut) barreled Cagayan at about 1:40 am today, September 15. The Magat Dam in Isabela has also opened three spillway gates, threatening low lying areas with flooding.

Felix Cinco, WV staff deployed in North Luzon is now in close coordination with the local government and other agencies for possible joint assessment in the hardest hit areas. “…we are coordinating with the government and other agencies to see how we can go to the most affected areas,” said Felix.
