World Vision Development Foundation awarded the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) with the World Vision One For Children plaque as a sign of appreciation for the PBA’s support to children in need.

For its final conference this season, the PBA partnered with World Vision for “Last 2 Minutes,” a campaign where the basketball association pledged to donate P100 for every point scored by both teams during the final two minutes of each game. Proceeds from the campaign will benefit the children, families and communities assisted by World Vision in the Philippines.

The World Vision One For Children seal was awarded to PBA at the halftime of the PBA Governors’ Cup 2019 Magnolia Hotshots vs. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel game. WVDF National Director Rommel V. Fuerte and Resource Development Director Jun Godornes presented the plaque to PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial, SMC Sports Director and Governor of Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel Mr. Alfrancis Chua, Magnolia Hotshots Governor Mr. Rene Pardo, San Miguel Beermen Governor Mr. Robert Non, and Magnolia Hotshots player Marc Pingris.

“Nagpapasalamat kami, we feel privileged to be in partnership with PBA,” Godornes said. “We hope that you continue to support this campaign.”
