Home Credit Supports World Vision’s Back-To-School and Abutin Na10 Campaign

Home Credit Philippines and World Vision Development Foundation, Inc. held its Virtual Signing Ceremony last September 20, 2021 for their latest partnership endeavor.

Home Credit, an International Consumer Finance provider, continued their support to World Vision and the vulnerable children by donating to this year’s Back-To-School and Abutin Na10 Campaigns. Through their donation, 200 children received school kits and 3,500 learners received printed learning materials. Last December, they initially donated to the Noche Buena Campaign, providing 100 families with Noche Buena gift baskets.

Rommel V. Fuerte, National Director of World Vision, gave his opening remarks by stating the importance of the partnership, “The purpose of the Back-To-School Campaign is to ensure that no learners are left behind especially in the situation that we are in right now. With the help of Home Credit, thousands of learners including their families in World Vision communities can enjoy learning and looking forward to a brighter future.”

“Home Credit has been focusing on financial literacy as its advocacy in being a finance company wherein this should be an integral part of the education of any children.” Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of Home Credit Philippines said. Blissful with regards to the children impacted with this initiative amid the pandemic, she expressed her gratitude saying, “Thank you for making our days brighter. One of the ways for us to alleviate the stress of the situation is tumulong nalang tayo hanggang kaya natin.”

Jun Godornes, Resource Development Director of World Vision, ended the ceremony by acknowledging the importance of having a purpose-driven partnership. “We are grateful to you for staying true to your calling, for doing what is right and for doing what is good. We are very similar because our goal is to fulfill the promise of fullness of life for children and for their families, and you help people aspire for greater things in life.”

We would like to thank Ms. Sheila Paul, Mr. Jerome Mangahas, Ms. Therese Gamilla, Sir John Pauleen Balbadores, and Ms. Marj Olfindo for joining us in the virtual signing ceremony.

Home Credit Philippines will continue to support World Vision’s advocacies through various Employee Engagement Activities with our beneficiaries in the coming months.
