Mr. DIY volunteers refurbish classrooms for new school year

In anticipation of the upcoming opening of classes, employees of Mr. DIY volunteer to refurbish classrooms in a World Vision-supported elementary school in Malabon. The activity can be considered a “do-it-yourself Brigada Eskwela,” where schools, communities, and partners work together to prepare classrooms for the next school year.

As part of the volunteer activity, Mr. DIY donated cans of paint, paint rollers, brooms, dustpans, mops, cleaning cloths, and Mr. DIY cleaning materials to the elementary school. This initiative aims to support Mr. DIY’s CSR project to refurbish the library of Concepcion Elementary School, which is being utilized for various school activities. Mr. DIY donated two air conditioner units, steel racks, and a PVC folding door for the school library as well.

In 2022, Mr. DIY partnered with World Vision in a bold effort to widen the company’s social responsibility efforts. Mr. DIY involves the public to support communities through “The Good Bag” initiative, where they donate a portion of the sales of their reusable eco bags to World Vision and other non-government organizations and foundations. “The Good Bag” campaign runs from March to December 2023.
