Joyce Pring celebrates birthday with World Vision kids

Radio jock and TV host Joyce Pring recently celebrated her 24th birthday with children from a community assisted by World Vision, a Christian child-focused agency. The party, held last May 20 at the La Mesa Eco Park in Quezon City, was attended by Joyce’s few friends, World Vision staff and about 30 children from Navotas.

“World Vision is very close to my heart. This party is not for me. Para sa mga bata talaga ito.” shared Pring. Earlier this year, Joyce joined the World Vision’s fold as Ambassador for Child Sponsorship. Pring explained that it has been an annual tradition for her to personally organize outreach activities with children. For a change, she partnered this time with an organization like World Vision.

Aside from treating the children with snacks and lunch courtesy of Burger King and Hungry Juan, Joyce with the help of friends also entertained the kids with a delightful magic show. Afterwards, the children toured the La Mesa Eco Park’s attractions and played fun games with the World Vision celebrity ambassador.

“Sobrang saya ng mga bata. Kakatapos lang naming pumasyal, nakakain na sila, at ngayon meron pa silang baon pag-uwi,” Joyce revels after playing tag with the children.

7-year-old Reanna smiles and agrees, “Nag-enjoy po ako sa games.”

“Thank you to my World Vision family for making this experience extra special,” said Joyce. “Today was an exhilarating, emotional day of crying and then laughing so hard – because my heart is filled to the brim.”

World Vision recently celebrated 60 years of ministry in the Philippines with the theme “Caring for Children, Building Sustainable Communities. During its anniversary launch last March this year, Pring offered her precious time and talent to co-host the event. World Vision/May 24, 2017
