Health Cash Officer [Project-based]

Location: Cotabato City or Iligan City

Purpose of the position:

The position will be responsible in implementing the agreed project activities and outputs under the UNFPA-World Vision Implementing Partner Agreement for the UNFPA Project, “Capacity Building of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority for Supporting Social Reintegration of Former Female Soldiers”.  The objective of the project is to strengthen capacities of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority cadre in programme management through the implementation of programme activities on social services and reproductive health.

The position will mainly ensure facilitation of the cash transfer (cash-for-work and cash-for-health) component of the project for women.  It will however also cover training of traditional birth attendants (TBAs) and barangay health workers  (BHWs) for community-based pregnancy tracking, as well as, distribution of maternity packs and other reproductive health supplies and equipment to target target RHUs/health facilities.  This position is directly reporting to the WVDF Project Coordinator, and as appropriate and necessary will have technical guidance/support from WVDF on LMMS, cash programming, and health and nutrition concerns.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of medical and health courses or any health science
  • At least 5 years’ experience in working with INGO and preferably with strong background in project management specially response project.Experienced in working with local governments, line agencies, and other humanitarian organizations.
  • Proven skills in Program/Project Management (planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation)
  • With background in managing training and workshop for adult training
  • Strong experience in community health and cash and voucher programming
  • With experience in distribution managementHave background/good knowledge and understanding of humanitarian laws and standards
  • Have background how WVDF works in disaster response management
  • Have enough basic knowledge and experience related to maternal and newborn health or reproductive health

Project Coordinator [Project-based]

FCPA (Fragile Context Program Approach) in Child Protection Capacity Development in Fragile Areas of Mindanao

Location: Cotabato City or Iligan City

Purpose of the position:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the implementation/delivery of the FCPA in Child Protection Capacity Development in Fragile Areas of Mindanao Project activities/output targets within agreed timeline, resources and  area of operations with close supervision of the Project Manager and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

The goal of the project is to strengthen child protection capacities in fragile areas of in Mindanao, Philippines through the fragile context program approach.

Major responsibilities:

  • Organizes the area level FPCA project planning, baselining, implementations, monitoring and progress reporting.
  • Responsibly implements the agreed project activities/targets in areas assigned;
  • Ensure consultative and inclusive planning and feed backing with communities and partners
  • Support project management in meeting minimum quality standards, improvement, reflection, learning andinnovation
  • Monitors progress of targets completion and provides regular updates/reports on agreed schedules with Project Manager/team.
  • Represent the project and maintains coordination at government councils, with other like-minded INGOs/CSOs and with relevant development/peace/humanitarian clusters/forums (e.g. Mindanao Humanitarian Team)

Requirements:

  • Graduate of either Education, Health Science, Social Work, Developmental Studies or related Social Sciences.
  • Has at least 5 years’ relevant experience in either or both education, child protection, health, nutrition, digital education, WASH, DRR – related program/project management, for government or NGO.
  • Work experience/strong background on project management in fragile areas is an advantage.
  • Experienced in working with local governments, line agencies, and other development/humanitarian organizations.
  • Proven skills in Program/Project Management (planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation)

Project Coordinator [Project-based]

Dengue Risk Analysis Tool Development Project

Location: Quezon City

Purpose of the position:

Lead the Dengue Risk Analysis Tool Development project team in the implementation of project activities on a timely basis and in fostering partnership with select LGUs in NCR to be covered by the project.

In collaboration with the Dengue Risk Analysis Tool Development project team, provides overall supervision and guidance on the implementation of project activities such as the development of the Dengue Risk Analysis Tool and the integration of the dengue risk analysis framework in the disaster risk reduction planning of targeted LGUs in the NCR.

Major responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the project is fully implemented according to the approved proposal and in accordance with the requirements of the donor.
  • As WV representative, lead coordination and liaise with Local Government Units, build partnerships and ensure that the tool is integrated in the 3 LGUs’ development planning for dengue
  • Build/ strengthen partnership with LGUs to sustain the use of the dengue tool in local development planning sessions
  • Ensure adherence to monitoring and evaluation guidelines, frameworks and indicators for the project, in line with established partnership agreements
  • Take charge of managing project day-to-day activities, including schedule and stakeholder coordination
  • Support administrative and logistical needs of Experts during dengue modeling
  • Supervise data gathering activities of the Researcher
  • Facilitate and moderate all online meetings and workshops and provide remote support to Experts during workshops and presentations
  • Provide input to the design and content of IEC materials being produced under the project
  • Ensure timely quality reporting to stakeholders and donor

Requirements:

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field with experience in academic or social research work as research team leader/supervisor,
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in disaster preparedness, disaster risk reduction, emergency response in health-specific situations, among others
  • Experience in managing community-based health programs of LGUs, national government, and NGOs
  • Knowledge and experience in projects with NGO-LGU collaboration, local government programming
  • Expertise in particular sector considered valuable, including technical areas such as public health and diseases, disaster response, LGU engagement, etc.

Technical Livelihood Specialist [Project-based]

PHINLA Global Program

Location: Quezon City

Purpose of the position:

The Technical Livelihood Specialist will provide technical guidance, oversight and quality assurance for the effective implementation of the livelihood initiatives of the PHINLA Project (Philippines) to develop livelihood for poverty affected population though a multi-sectoral established and monitored waste management system. He/She will oversee the capacity building to build up sustainable businesses and will mentor in all aspects of business set up and expansion as a result of the project’s focus on effective waste management. The Technical Livelihood Specialist will provide support with capacity assessments, business registration, business planning, production capabilities, target monitoring, market linkages and problem solving.

Major responsibilities:

  • Livelihood set up and project implementation
  • Provide technical guidance to the project team on livelihood.
  • Technical input and competency development
  • Knowledge management
  • Financial monitoring
  • Collaboration, partnerships and networking

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Urban livelihood resilience and/or microfinance, micro business
  • At least 3 years experience in setting up viable and sustainable livelihood groups
  • Experience in setting up livelihood groups and guiding them for growth.
  • Experience in community engagement in the areas of waste management and livelihoods
  • Experience in corporate business management, particularly managing line production,
  • Experience in material production and production equipment maintenance would be preferred.
