Project Manager – First 1000 Days Project

Position Purpose

  • Leads the overall project implementation, its staff, activities, initiatives, partners, budget and assets.
  • Provides technical leadership and administrative oversight to the project.
  • Serves as a principal organizational liaison to the project partner and local government unit entities.
  • Understands keenly the unique political dynamics and works collaboratively with all stakeholders and rallies their support in strengthening systems for the delivery of quality and comprehensive nutrition and health services for the First 1,000 days provided to women, newborns and children in the project areas.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manages a proactive and responsive relationships with partner organizations in close coordination with immediate supervisor.
  • Ensures that all strategic objectives are met through proper project design, implementation, monitoring, budget management, ICT components implementation and management, social and behavior change communication implementation and timely and quality results
  • Provides vision and strategic technical leadership for the implementation of the identified interventions.
  • Works closely with the Department of Health (DOH), National Nutrition Council, ECCD Council and members of the Inter-Agency Committee for EO 51. DOH will manage the reporting platform for violations of EO 51 and RA 10028 and has the responsibility to review, analyze, and prepare recommendations through their function as member of the IAC.  Ensures improved local level implementation and monitoring of the Philippine Milk Code.
  • Researches new funding opportunities and develop and writes funding proposals if the second phase of the project is envisioned or a cost extension is planned.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics and Public Health;
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing large grants, minimum 1 Million USD (must be backed up by an endorsement of former supervisor);
  • Experience of leading large and diverse teams
  • Experience as a Project Manager or senior expert advisor
  • Experience in working and dealing with government branch agencies at secretariat level and departmental level

 

IYCF Coordinator – First 1000 Days Project

Position Purpose

  • The IYCF Coordinator for the First 1000 Days project will work closely with the Project Manager and IT Officer of the CMMCC project in supporting the members of the IAC towards its efforts to strengthen its capacity and that of the Local Government Units in monitoring Code Compliance;
  • Ensures that the IAC is fully equipped and provided with the necessary support in using the reporting platform. She/He is an important link between the project management staff and the partners both at the national and local levels;
  • Collaborates with the IAC in designing the operational framework for the enforcement of The Philippine Milk Code (EO 51) both at the national and local levels;
  • Provides technical support in the implementation of on Infant and Young Child Feeding, Nutrition in Emergencies, Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition, Micronutrient Supplementation, Growth Monitoring and Promotion, and Family MUAC;
  • Prepares and submits financial reports strictly following the Finance Unit policies of WVDF and DOH;

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all strategic objectives are met through proper project design, implementation, monitoring, budget management, ICT components implementation and management, social and behavior change communication implementation and timely and quality results
  • Establishes and maintains effective project reporting, evaluation, and communication systems at different levels of implementation.
  • Submits timely and accurate reports that meet donor and government requirements.
  • Liaises with national government officials and agencies, such as but not limited to DOH, FDA, Inter-Agency Committee for EO 51, Local Government Units, private institutions, and community peer support group representatives and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Identifies and liaises with possible strategic project partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and Public Health;
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in working with local health and nutrition stakeholders in implementing interventions in the communities;
  • At least 6 years work experience in working with national government agencies, local government units and other civil society organizations;

Area Project Coordinator – First 1000 Days Project in Samar/Northern Samar/Zamboanga del Norte

Position Purpose

  • Oversees the implementation of the First 1000 Days project and ensures that project goals and objectives are met at the city level.
  • Engages strategic partnerships with various stakeholders in the project site.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in advocating for local-level support to the comprehensive approach to maternal, infant and child nutrition and health in the critical first 1,000 days window.
  • Works with stakeholders in strengthening the operational framework for the Philippine Milk Code (EO 51) enforcement at the local levels.
  • Responsible for capacity building on Infant and Young Child Feeding, Nutrition in Emergencies, Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition, Micronutrient Supplementation, Growth Monitoring and Promotion, and Family MUAC.

  • Establishes procedures and standards for accessing, processing, and distribution of information from the data facilities in agreement with the project team and partners.
  • Performs a variety of technical and analytical services involving analysis and design of database-driven automated systems, software programming services, automated operation support, and problem resolution such as:
  • Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Updates configuration management tools.

Education Technical Program Specialist

Position Purpose

The position is accountable for the following:

  • Provides technical support and directions to the Area Program ensuring the contribution and alignment with organizational strategic directions.
  • Discusses with supervisor the performance targets and agreements, regular performance reviews and appraisal and ensures optimization of his/her potentials through capacity building activities.

Major Responsibilities

Contribution to NO strategy

  • Contribute to NO strategy development in technical area by providing input on Technical Programme (TP) related objectives for the highest impact in the country context.

Development of technical approaches

  • Lead the development of Technical Approaches (TA) and guidance notes for ministry priorities in NO strategy

Quality of TP Designs and Implementation

  • Provide support to feasibility assessments

Advocacy and communications

  • Manage TP and national/sub-national relationships with sectoral partners and government departments

Monitoring and reporting of TP Implementation

  • Together with the SMIL Manager, ensure that a strong M&E system is in place for the TP and that learnings are applied and used to improve further the TP.

Child Data Analyst – for CamNorte and Albay

Position Purpose

Supports maximum transformational impact to children, families and communities in the ADP covered areas and sponsors by ensuring quality of data and management of sponsorship databases in accordance with the partnership sponsorship standards and requirements.

  • Provides technical support to the sponsorship processes with the children, families and communities and ADP covered areas

Country Security Manager

Position Purpose

  • To support the National Director, World Vision Development Foundation in ensuring that effective security measures for World Vision offices and programs are both appropriately planned for and addressed within the national context.
  • Provide Leadership in optimization of organizational security and the mitigation of operational risks for ministry effectiveness by establishing security systems and mechanisms towards institutionalizing an organizational culture and practice of safety and security.

Major Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the development and implementation of the security architecture that includes security strategy, specific annual business plan, critical infrastructure (incident/crisis management) in alignment with the WV Security Policy and Office of Corporate Security framework

Networking and External Liaison/Engagement

  • Represent WV at local NGO Security network meetings and ensure information from these groups is disseminated to leadership and relevant staff.

Capacity Building and Technical Training

  • Coordinate assessment, development and implementation of security capacity building plans based on program Security Risk Assessments and operational priorities, targeting different staff groups towards relevant and adequate security skills and aptitude

Quality Assurance

  • Review the implementation and practice of organizational security risk management standards and promote alignment with WV Core Security Requirements (CSR).

Digital Copywriter – HOMEBASED

Purpose of position

  • The Digital Copywriter is responsible for creating digital marketing materials for digital ads, web (landing pages, microsites and SEO content) and email.
  • Acts as the voice of WVC throughout digital marketing communications channels, aligned to the established brand narrative and digital best practices.

Major responsibilities

  • Acts in a Shared Services capacity to the Digital Marketing department, writing, editing and delivering outgoing digital marketing content (excluding Public Relations) and acts as the central point for digital marketing communications.
  • Works with Program Managers to understand digital marketing communication requirements from internal stakeholders, and delivers timely, accurate, and high-quality digital marketing copy, supporting revisions and enhancements as per internal customer needs.
  • Reviews and provides recommendations on creative concepts and copy, and clearly communicate creative direction to Business Units.
  • Ensures copy and assets are tailored adequately for use in digital ads, web (including SEO driven content) and email.
  • Partners with Digital Designer to deliver an overall content solution, based on business objectives and digital marketing best practices.

Requirements:
