World Vision is concerned about the children and families in Luzon affected by Typhoon Mangkhut. On our initial relief distribution in Cagayan Province, we have reached 700 families through the provision of life-saving essentials like hygiene kits and non-food items. According to the latest government report, there are still 46,603 families or 162,399 individuals staying in evacuation centers. World Vision continues its commitment to work with the government and local partners to help the affected families get access to their most immediate needs.
You can support our response work on the ground as we target to provide to 10,000 families or 50,000 individuals. For every amount you donate to our Typhoon Ompong Response, a family will receive hygiene kits that include toothbrush, toothpaste, laundry and bath soaps, malong (traditional tube skirt), sanitary pads, nail cutter, underwear, and non-food items such as blankets and mosquito nets which they can use while they are seeking refuge in temporary shelters.
