World Vision is concerned about the welfare and security of children and families who experienced a series of the earthquakes in Cotabato. Our response team is assessing the situation and continues to work with local government and stands ready to complement the government’s relief efforts to respond to the affected families’ most immediate needs.
As of October 31, more than 25,000 persons are affected. The number of people staying in evacuation areas is expected to increase
World Vision will initially cater to 1000 families or 5000 individuals.
Your support will provide Hygiene kits (bath and laundry soaps, toothbrushes and toothpastes, sanitary packs, nail cutter, undergarments and malong or tube skirt),jerry cans, non-food items (mosquito net, mats and blanket), emergency shelter kit (tarp and rope) to the affected families.
Child-friendly spaces will be set up to provide psychosocial support for children while temporary learning spaces will be provided to schools
