The classroom is our second home. We spend almost half of our waking hours inside the school and classrooms when we were still students. The growing number of research has found that school facilities can have a profound impact on both teacher and student outcomes. For many individuals, school facilities affect teacher recruitment, retention, commitment, and effort. While for students, school facilities affect health, behavior, engagement, learning, and growth in achievement.
Here in the Philippines, researchers generally conclude that many classrooms have inadequate facilities and resources also resulting in poor quality of education. By giving towards our Classroom Repair Fund, you will enable World Vision to help in classroom repairs covering the following areas: Antique, Cebu, Leyte and Isabela. Enabling Teachers to concentrate on teaching large numbers of children with complex needs, while allowing students to experience a positive learning environment.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do — because we recognize that every resource entrusted to us can transform children’s lives. Resources are optimized and distributed where they are needed the most. We carefully monitor and review programs and costs, use donations and grants for their intended purposes, and look for ways to leverage funds for maximum impact. More than 90% of our funds go to our Programs, while only 6% are utilized for fundraising efforts and management expenses.
