Typhoon Yolanda Relief Response

Through the help of donors like you, we were able to reach 680,575 people with life-saving essentials on the aftermath of super typhoon Yolanda. Our appeal now is for Recovery and Rehabilitation. With your support, we can provide families with long-term reconstruction materials.

This will enable communities and households to rebuild, ensuring safe and protected living conditions, re-establishment of livelihoods, assurance of food, restoration of community infrastructure, empowerment of children through health and nutrition, education and protection programmes.

Child Friendly Space Inspires Children

Women and Young Children Space

A Day in the Life

Child Friendly Spaces set up by World Vision just weeks after Yolanda, provided a safe place for children to continue learning, playing and start coming to terms with the disaster’s effects. By attending the CFS, the children undergo stress debriefing, so they are ready for the resumption of their classes.

Currently, a transition plan for CFS is being undertaken by World Vision as the community volunteers are now equipped to ensure protection of children. This includes turn-over of all assets – tents, modules, educational toys and supplies, musical and sports equipment. It also ensures the community's commitment to strengthen mechanisms in protecting children from abuse, trafficking and child labor.
