World Vision and Homeschool Global give the most vulnerable children in the Philippines an opportunity for a better future

Homeschool Global (HG), a Christian organization that pioneered in various homeschooling services in the Philippines, has partnered with World Vision in helping Filipino children, especially the most vulnerable, to have a better future by providing access to quality education through homeschooling.

“We take character education and values formation seriously, that’s one of the primary reasons parents choose to homeschool. We have the opportunity to do something with the resources the Lord blessed us with. Through this initiative, our families can now give back to children who are not theirs, and to pass on a Godly legacy. Our community has so much to give by way of time and knowledge that many other kids can really benefit from”, shared Homeschool Global President Ryan Gallagher.

The thrust of this CSR initiative is to grant holistic development that will prepare the young generation to become positive contributors and future leaders of their communities.

“I believe that our families will be more blessed than those whom we will be helping. We thank the HG community for their willingness to participate and encourage everyone to take this program seriously and not underestimate the impact it has on a child’s life for generations to come”, added Gallagher.

The “One 2 One” campaign aims to help 2,500 most vulnerable children receive education. Homeschool Global (HG) families will be matched with one underprivileged child during enrollment beginning March 2020. While Homeschool Global commits to support this campaign financially, engaging the families will promote and building of relationships with people who can encourage and inspire these children to excel.

“It’s a blessing to welcome Homeschool Global as we launch our campaign, One to One. The partnership captures the joys of helping a child- knowing that your help goes a long way and establishing a connection between you and the child”, said World Vision Acquisition Manager Cherry Valencia. “We, at World Vision, are excited to welcome HG families as they share the joy of learning to children in World Vision assisted communities”.

“One 2 One” was launched last October 5, 2019 through a contract-signing at the Homeschool Global Homeschool Conference held at the SMX Convention Center Aura. Official representatives present were World Vision’s Executive Director Rommel Fuerte and Acquisition Manager Cherry Valencia, and Homeschool Global’s President Ryan Gallagher and Community Development Director Girlie Argosino.

“We applaud Homeschool Global as they encourage students and their families to become blessings to their fellow Filipinos. It is partnerships like this that makes the world a loving home to the most vulnerable children. Thank you for the trust. World Vision Philippines is one with Homeschool Global in this endeavor”, stated by World Vision Executive Director Rommel Fuerte.
