OWNDAYS turns over ‘Cases for Change’ proceeds to World Vision
Japanese optical shop OWNDAYS formally turns over the proceeds from the “Cases for Change” campaign to World Vision in support of the organization’s ongoing Mindanao earthquake response.

“Cases for Change” is a promo that allowed OWNDAYS customers to purchase eyeglass or sunglass cases specially designed to support different causes. Earlier this year, the company partnered with World Vision, World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF), and the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) for this campaign.

“At OWNDAYS, we are always looking for ways to give back to society. One of the ways we do it is [by] giving glasses to the needy through our Eye Camps. Now, we found another way – ‘Cases for Change,’” explained Vohne Yao, Managing Director of OWNDAYS Philippines. “We have chosen the Philippine Animal Welfare Society, World Wildlife Fund for Nature Philippines, and World Vision Philippines specifically because we would like to support animals, children, and the environment.”

Aside from offering affordable and fashionable eyewear, OWNDAYS has made it their mission to “enrich the life of everyone who has a relationship with OWNDAYS,” including those who do not have access to eye care facilities. To achieve this, the company holds regular Eye Camps where they partner with local NGOs and volunteer doctors to distribute free glasses and hold eye check-ups and eye health evaluations in underprivileged communities. In the Philippines, OWNDAYS have conducted free eye consultations in communities in Tacloban and Manila.
