Super Tyhoon Yolanda: Insiders view

Inside Tacloban City evacuation center, 65-year-old Lucring Erandio dotes on her granddaughter May Anne, cradling the six-year-old girl, hoping to ease her hunger.

“Nakalolooy (I feel sorry for her),” says Lucring looking at Mae Anne, the youngest of all her grandchildren. She and eight of her family members have not eaten a single meal since they were evacuated.

She shared that the last ration they received was "lugaw" (porridge), but not everyone was given a portion. We asked Mae Anne if she was hungry, she just looked away, her hands on her tummy.
