CURRENT SITUATION

16.1% of Filipino families, or about 4.7 million households, experienced hunger, nearly 1 in 6 families nationwide (SWS, 2025).

Each year, there are 689,357 new cases of stunting in Philippines. There is a total of 3,446,785 children under 5 who are stunted in Philippines.​

Philippines has the 6th highest prevalence of stunting in East Asia & Pacific (out of 22 countries), and the 36th highest in the world (out of 175 countries).​

5.7% or 653,000 children​ are wasted and 19.1% or 2.2 million children under 5 years old are underweight.
