Malabon kids explore wonders of science

Thirty-seven World Vision-supported children from Malabon had an educational tour of the Mind Museum in Taguig recently. The event was organized by World Vision with the support of Bank of America Philippines.

During the trip, the children who are in Grade 6 in school, learned several facts about science, and participated in fun-filled experiments together with Bank of America employees, who served as their “ates” and “kuyas” that day.

“This [educational tour] is a great area where we can learn outside the four corners of a classroom,” Bank of America Philippines country president Vince Valdepenas said. The tour was the culminating activity of Bank of America and World Vision’s Brigada Pagbasa Learning in Times of Emergencies (LITE) bag project, which provides reading intervention activities through virtual platforms. Under this project, a school is provided a digital education toolbox—consisting of laptops for teachers and tablets for students. (Katrina Hallare | Field and Emergency Communications Specialist)
