World Vision Development Foundation awarded the One For Children seal to Isuzu Motors, Ltd. (IML) in a Project Salute ceremony held last June 3, 2019. WVDF Executive Director Rommel V. Fuerte and Resource Director Jun Godornes handed over the plaque, which in turn was received by IML Senior Counselor Yoshinori Ida.

World Vision awarded the One For Children seal to Isuzu Motors, Ltd. (IML) in a Project Salute ceremony held last month.
WVDF and IML, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) jointly manage the Auto Mechanic Training Center (AMTraC). AMTraC is an education-to-employment auto servicing training program offered to out-of-school youths in the Visayas. The program aims to equip trainees auto servicing skills that would land them stable livelihoods after graduation. To date, the program has produced more than 200 auto service technicians and mechanics.

“Our partnership with Isuzu had been amazing and very inspiring. AMTraC works because the government and Isuzu are with us,” said Fuerte. “At World Vision, we promise to deliver our commitment. We will be accountable to the resources that IML entrusted to us.”

On behalf of IML, Senior Counselor Yoshinori Ida expressed Isuzu’s continued support to AMTraC and World Vision. “We would like to continue our project in cooperation with World Vision,” Ida said. “We want to continue supporting this project for the happiness of our beneficiaries. To everyone in World Vision, I really thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“When we launched the ‘One for Children’ campaign, we thought that it would be best to acknowledge and recognize the key partners that we have,” Godornes explained. “We’re honored that one of them is Isuzu.”
