World Vision celebrates joint efforts with partners and ambassadors

International humanitarian organization World Vision, as it culminates its 60th anniversary celebration in the Philippines, honored its staunch partners, supporters and ambassadors in its 2017 Corporate Partners’ Night held at the Novotel Hotels and Resorts, Quezon City.

The evening highlighted the successes of World Vision’s collaborations with corporations and other organizations to champion its ministry of giving children across the country the chance to enjoy the fullness of life. This includes providing access to education, proper health and nutrition, protection, emergency assistance, disaster risk reduction programs and livelihood opportunities for families and communities.

Some of the achievements of the organization include the launch of its campaign against the online sexual exploitation of children, World Vision Run 2017: Cebu, and NakakaLOKAL, a fundraising concert with World Vision Ambassador Ogie Alcasid.

World Vision Philippines National Director Rommel Fuerte said, “On behalf of World Vision, I want to thank you for investing in the future of every Filipino child. All it takes for change to happen is for at least one person, one corporate company, to believe that improving the lives of Filipino families is possible.”

“Through our partnership, we hope to inspire more Filipinos to give back through supporting communities where help is needed most. We are loving people who care about our country, and just as much, we take joy in helping others.”

World Vision hopes to continue working with like-minded corporations and individuals to reach more children in the Philippines. World Vision/November 24, 2017
