Filipinos’ hopes and dreams for children

Ushering in the New Year usually brings renewed hope and optimism. This is the time when we give ourselves a chance to start anew, and the time when we resolve to make things better than the year before. With this in mind, we asked our social media followers what their hopes and dreams for Filipino children are for the New Year. Here are some of their responses.

Safe spaces

“I hope for a year full of peace and a safe environment for [children]. A government that cares more for the welfare not just of children but of every Filipino.” – Julie Rivero

“I wish to see the end of child slavery and child trafficking. In addition, I hope all Filipino children have access to good quality education.” – Nina Gonzales

Quality education

Good values

– Garry Sabado

Good health

– Lourdes Arciaga

Big dreams

“I want children to be strong and dream big no matter what happens.” – JM Nieva
